No way to react
Those who protested against sex scandal have not broken any law. If
this is not the way to express your anger, what is? ask Fiaz Fazili and

Kashmiri women protest against sex scandal. Do they deserve water
canons. Police, as goes the news, in Kashmir used water canon to
disperse dozens of women, many wearing black veils, during a protest
over a suspected prostitution ring involving politicians. What was their
demand? “Sexploiters leave our land and face wrath of Allah,” read one
banner carried by the protesters in Srinagar.
Then, Why water; why cane charge? Who gave orders for this? The protesters, led by daring Asiya Andrabi, who has been campaigning against prostitution and alcohol consumption. Previous government tried to choke her voice by imprisoning her. Has our new and the first chief minister from Jammu any answer, when he himself was the victim of a baton charge with late Sanjay Gandhi. Was that action justified or this one. Seeing the public fury Indian authorities have ordered a federal investigation into the sex scandal, vowing to get to the bottom of it. “Whosoever is involved and whatever position he or she holds would be brought to justice,” Ghulam Nabi Azad, the chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir, told reporters; `Unfortunately India has a bad history in shelving of enquiries, be it a matter of lost of Holy relic or any other case, the real game players were never punished or exposed in public’.
Azad sahib, these daughters of soil were no threat to anyone nor they broke any law of land that time, instead when people were demolishing the building in Habba Kadal your police was contended with a role of spectator for the reasons best known to the authoritieses. Sex scandals like this and What should be our Our Attitude. How should we react to it? What is your opinion, Sir. How should Kashmiris continue their campaigns against sex scandal? How can they take both official and non-official actions to bring culprits to the book. The events of these days are historical events in the lives of every one of us. Everyone is wondering and people are asking each other, “What shall we do?” “What are the practical measures that we can take after the protests?” “We have objected, what shall we do next?” When asked in the hereafter, how shall we defend ourselves.
This public wrath was beamed through media the world over. Everyone realized that our cultural heritage and Shariah is more precious to us than anything else. Any such scandal is unacceptable to the Kashmiri society- time and again Kashmiris have been tested and they proved it We have done that; we have expressed our objection in different ways. Surprisingly when our daughters come with peaceful protest they are being beaten with batons or treated with water canons. There has been a continuous campaign by all vested interests at different levels to deviate us especially our youth from the Path of beloved Prophet (SAW).When our daughters and sisters draw attention of the concerned they are put in detention camps. We believe our job is not yet complete. Protest was absolutely justified. You may be an atheist or an agnostic or you may belong to any of the religious denominations that exist in the world today. You may have been a communist or a believer in democracy and freedom. No matter what you are, and no matter what your religious and political beliefs, personal and social habits happen to be— you still must participate; you should show your concern over this shameful scandal till the real culprits are not brought to book. Thanks Allah, our sons and daughters have once again shown their responsibility towards their land; their society; their culture and above all religion. Once again it is proved to the world that “We will fight till last Kashmiri to preserve our cultural and religious heritage; But lot needs to be done at many levels. There is still something missing, informing and enlightening our youth of their moralities and religious duties lest they may fall prey to such evil designs till a big question is answered. Will they all ever be exposed, and if exposed will they be punished?
