2.When a slave adopts humility (tawaadhu i.e. I am nothing) for the sake of Allah Ta’aalaa, He elevates him, and when the slave lets pride (kibr i.e. I am something) overtake him, Allah Ta’aalaa disgraces him."
3."I wish that mankind would learn this knowledge - meaning his knowledge - without even one letter of it being attributed to me” – Imaam ash-Shaafi'ee4.. Never do I argue with a man with a desire to hear him say what is wrong, or to expose him and win victory over him. Whenever I face an opponent in debate I silently pray - O Lord, help him so that truth may flow from his heart and on his tongue, and so that if truth is on my side, he may follow me; and if truth be on his side, I may follow him. YOU MUST KNOW THIS MAN WELL .
FIDAKA YA RASOOL ALLAH.SAW SALVATION LIES HERE.
"Sirat Rasulallah -saw” (lifestyle of Prophet Muhammad-saw), a role model of peace and prosperity for all civilizations, is for all generations to follow. Prophet Muhammad S.A.W. said, 'This Deen or way of life is easy'; 'Make it easy, don't make it difficult; 'Let people rejoice in being Muslims and not run away from it'.A shining example to follow with Universal Message of Peace, Brotherhood and Equality .GAWAHEXPRESS24OCTOBER
The month of Rabi'- Ul - Awwal holds a special place in Islamic calendar when Allah (ST) sent on earth His most beloved, Prophet Muhammad (SAW), for whom He created everything. Twelfth Rabi’ –ul-Awaal -A time to reflect, a time to renew and regain our compassion through reminiscing, admiring and learning about him as a perfect example to follow. We forget everything related to the hustle and bustle of life and concentrate on the spiritual experience we are going through. In the Muslim's heart there is a special respect and love for the Prophet (SAW). Love for the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) is a measure of one's Iman (faith and inner conviction) for the believers and our Iman is completed and perfected only when our love for the Prophet exceeds our love for everything else in this world, including our own lives. Allah (ST) says in the Holy Qur’an: “Allah and His angels send blessings on the Prophet: O ye that believe! Send ye blessings on him, and salute him with all respect.”(ch Ahzab) A visit to Madinah Munawara and Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah is always a great pleasure, but a visit during this month to a Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah is heart-warming bonus. The mere sight of the mosque’s minaret(green tomb) refreshes both body and soul ,makes one remember how the great Prophet (saw) and his companions lived and the effect their lives had on people’s lives for over 14 centuries ; those of us who couldn’t make it this year besides other virtuous deeds may recite Durood (send salutations )on Prophet (SAW) in abundance .Regarding sending salutations Prophet (SAW) has said ,”When I am mentioned in the presence of someone, he/she should recite ,”Sal’lal’laahu a ‘laihi wa sallam. Many of us translate it as ‘peace be upon him,’ but some Arabic translators opine it is incorrect; the correct translation is ,’May Allah exalt his mention, and render him/her and his household safe and secure from every derogatory thing (islamhouse). Allah knows the best .Allah(ST) bestows ten measures of mercy to the one who recites Durood on me; ten of his sins are forgiven; he is elevated ten ranks and ten virtuous deeds are written in his Book of Deeds'' (Nisai etc ).No doubt day of birth of Rabi al-Awwal is a special occasion without going into controversies whether twelfth Rabia awal is the evidence based authentic date or not , the question we will not be asked at any stage of life after throughout our journey from grave to the day of resurrection . How I celebrate sending both blessings (Salah) and salutations (Salaam) in abundance upon him and not opt for one without the other. I suggest to take it as an opportune time to refresh our knowledge and talk about various aspects of life (sirat)of the Messenger of Allah from the authentic sources like Ar-Raheeq Al-Makhtum an authentic biography of Prophet Muhammad(saw) You can download it even in PDF format in Urdu, Arabic, and English language for offline ." Verily in the messenger of Allah ye have a good example for him who looketh unto Allah and the last Day, and remembereth Allah much.” [Quran 33:21] That is the words of Allah (ST) in approximate English translation describing the nobleness of Prophet Muhammad (SAW). You may be an atheist or an agnostic or you may belong to any of the religious denominations that exist in the world today. You may have been a Communist or a believer in democracy and freedom. No matter what you are, and no matter what your religious and political beliefs, personal and social habits happen to be— YOU STILL MUST KNOW THIS MAN.
A major part of the Prophet’s mission was to bring peace to the world. He propagated the message of compassion, equality, equal opportunity. One of the ways in which he strove towards this end was to attempt to convince people that all men and women, albeit inhabiting very different regions of the world, and different from one another in colour, culture, and language, no one has superiority over others. All are equal. His message was crucial, for a proper relationship of love and respect can be established only if that is how human beings regard one another. In his historic farewell address (last sermon) which was delivered on the Ninth Day of Dhul Hijjah 10 A.H. in the 'Uranah valley of Mount Arafat' (in Mecca)., the Prophet(saw) addressed several issues: Freedom to all; Sanctity of life, Wealth and property; Equality of all races; Justice in front of the law and in front of Allah; Women’s rights and obligations; Exploitation and Monopoly; Rights of others. How important it is to take this message forward. Islam is a religion of love, peace, and respects monotheistic beliefs. Muslims are loving, kind, compassionate, tolerant, moderate, and positive thinking individuals, who practice compassion and kindness towards others and their faiths. A loving Muslim with a sensitive heart observes a certain code of ethics and morality, a special spiritual courtesy. There are codes described by our noble Prophet (Saw) for every aspect of life. The Prophet's love was not limited just to the believers. In a way he loved all of Allah, s creation. Allah says in the Qur'an: "We have not sent you (O Prophet) but as Rahmah(mercy) to all the worlds." (Quran 21:107) His was a high moral character, so that even if badly treated by others, he went on returning good for evil. People harmed him, yet he would pray for them. He would remain patient in the face of oppression and, regardless of the provocation, he would refrain from becoming incensed. The Prophet(saw) would exhort his followers to live in peace with their fellow men, saying, “A true believer is one with whom others feel secure,” one who returns love for hatred. He used to teach the believers that anyone who would return love only when love was given belonged on a lower ethical plane. The true believer never reasons that only if people treat him well that he will treat them well in return. He is accustomed rather to doing good to those who mistreat him, and to refrain from harming those who do him injury. The Prophet(saw) himself set the example. All his recorded words and actions reveal him as a man of great gentleness, kindness, humility, good humour, and excellent common sense, with a great love for all people and even for an animal.
Correctly or not, some sections of Muslims perceive the Western media as hostile and vice versa, partly because of malicious misconceptions created by some vested Islamophobes against this great religion. In the age of the electronic media, abuses of the internet, of television, of cartoon images I feel we the Muslims have yet to discover how to use the media optimally to project pure teachings of Islam to those who are ignorant of them and highlight a perfect example of the life of the Prophet(SAW). Miscreants with nefarious designs may draw sketches, the real portrait of his nobleness is acknowledged even by the non-Muslim personalities like Bernard Shaw and Mahatma Gandhi- etc.In my opinion Muslim scholars have to utilize these modern ways of expressing themselves effectively to clarify all doubtful and dubious points raised by the enemies of their religion. Islam is a complete religion where it gives us guideline through Quran and Sunnah which cover all aspects in human life., from the cradle to graveyard, comfort room to bed room, personal hygiene to social justice, war strategy of Badr to the truce of Hudaibiyah ; rights of women ,children and elderly etc. The whole lifestyle(sirat) of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) serves as a perfect model for all civilization, and for all generations to follow. It includes the way we should follow it in our daily life wherever we are. When will I begin loving his Prophet(SAW)?" This will be when you obey his orders, follow in his footsteps, and observe his Sunnah. “Say (to mankind O Muhammad), If you love Allah, follow me (and) Allah will love you..." (Quran 3:31)
With commencement of the Rabi Awal considered as month of birthday of the Prophet Muhammad saw let us not confine it here but on other occasions too May Allah bestow us fortitude to remember him wholeheartedly and generously express all the love and admiration for the Prophet(saw)that can be expressed for someone other than Allah . Let us teach ourselves and our children and make them aware of the life of the Prophet (saw) and use it as an example in our daily lives in order that we may improve our conduct morally and spiritually to become better human beings and better examples for others.
